Mathematical Critical Thinking Ability in Solving Mathematical Problems

This study aims to determine the mathematical critical thinking skills of class XII IPA 1 students at SMAN 5 Sidrap in solving problems arithmetic sequences and series. The type research used is descriptive with a qualitative approach. In this study, there were 3 subjects, namely high, medium low abilities. instruments data collection observation sheets, written tests interview guidelines. results showed that: (1) Students who met Critical Thinking Level (CTL) or critically had high At level, are able formulate main points problem, reveal existing facts, theorems detect bias, work on questions according initial plan, express their arguments clearly, re-examine answers draw conclusions. (2) meet CTL 2 quite have moderate uncover theorem used, less conclusion. (3) 0 not been fulfill all indicators such as being problem.
